Dr. Ellen "Livvy" Jones is originally from the rural town of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She grew up on a small cattle farm with just about every animal imaginable from dogs and cats to chickens and bearded dragons. Dr. Jones knew she wanted to be a veterinarian after working with animals growing up and deciding that human medicine was gross! She graduated from Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Healthy Sciences (Go Pokes!). Her interests include preventive care, parasitology, cytology, pathology, and reptile (turtle) medicine. She currently lives in Manhattan with her partner, Brian, who is a veterinary parasitologist at K-state (Go Wildcats!). They have a mini Australian shepherd (Kuehny), a pit bull (Cyrus), and 3 tortoises (Lentil, Bean, and Diablo). Dr. Jones is excited to join the Banfield Topeka team and advocate for preventive medicine!
